Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit

This is a Germany Based organisation formed in 2011, to replace all other Germany agencies, namely KFW, GTZ, and DED, African College of Commerce was assisted in one way or the other and worked in cooperation with these organisations.

Germany Technical Service - GTZ.  This is also a Germany organisation that has supported us in Human Resource development.  Through UGAPRIVI, this organisation
Germany Development Service - DED.  They supported African College of Commerce with the Material, Human Resource development, Coordination
Weltwarts.  This is an organisation for young volunteers in Germany. African College of Commerce has so far received four young volunteers from Germany since 2008 each staying for one year at our college. They teach mainly our student in Computer Information Technology.

SES Senior Expert Service.  This is an organisation based in Germany for the Senior Experts.  In 2005, Manfred Otte was sent from Germany to train our students in Computer Information Technology
Inwent Germany. They have supported African College of Commerce in Human Capacity development, Sponsored some of our staff to train in Germany,  Uganda and Mozambique.  Through Inwent, there is close collaboration with the Global Campus 21 – GC21.

MUBS

Makerere University Business School

is a Government owned University. Since 2003 African College of Commerce is affiliated to Makerere University Business School for the award of Certificate and Diploma Programmes. Under this arrangement, the College recruits students, presents them for admission to MUBS. The College trains the students who are examined and awarded with Certificates or Diplomas by MUBS.

This is a Germany Development Bank. They supported African College of Commerce through the Ministry of Education with Infrastructure, Training Materials and Human Resource development.

JICA

Japan International Cooperation Agencies

This is an organisation in Japan that has assisted various institutions in Uganda.  The supported African College of Commerce with Volunteers train our students in Computer Information Technology. One of our staff on exchange visit went Japan in 2009.

UGAPRIVI

Uganda Association of Private Vocational Institutions

This is an association of Private vocational institutions in Uganda.  I was formed in 1998 to bring the private vocational institutions together.  UGAPRIVI has coordinated with a number of Donor Agencies which have helped many Vocational Institutions in Uganda including African College of Commerce which is a member.   With around 640 member institution, UGAPRIVI became a strong bargaining power with the Government of Uganda and has brought about a great change in the Business, Technical and Vocational Training in Uganda.  The Director of African College of Commerce Mr Ndemere Adrian is the UGAPRIVI National Vice Chairman, and the Regional Director for South Western Uganda

NCHE

National Council for Higher Education

is a Government of Uganda Regulatory Body for Universities and other tertiary institutions. African College of Commerce is licensed by the National Council for Higher Education as an institution of Higher Learning.  With the licence of National Council for Higher Education, the academic awards by African College of Commerce are recognised by the Government of Uganda.  (see Letter of authority)

MoE

Ministry of Education and Sports

This is in charge of Education in Uganda. African College of Commerce was registered with the Ministry of Education in 1986. With their Permission, African College of Commerce was allowed to operate.  Through its Directorate of Business Technical and Vocational Education and Training – BTVET,  Ministry of Education has also assisted the Private institutions, in coordinating with the Donors. 

UNEB

Uganda National Examinations Board

This is a Government Uganda Examinations body for Business, Technical, and Secondary education.  UNEB granted African College of Commerce an examinations centre.  Some students are therefore examined by UNEB for the award of Certificate and Diploma levels.
